The Sacramento Outdoor Film Festival is produced by Creative Projection Services and its subsidiary, Sacramento Outdoor Movies.
Creative Projection services is an audio visual rental and projection company primarily renting projectors, screens and sound equipment for business conferences and private events. When Creative Projection saw the rise in popularity of outdoor movies they decided to form Sacramento Outdoor Movies and began producing outdoor events for park and recreation districts and other non-profit organizations.
Most of the movies screened were animated and primarily geared towards small children and their parents. While this continues to be a fun and rewarding part of thier business, they thought there should be a special event produced for the adults as well. Thus, the Sacramento Outdoor Film Festival was conceived.
